"The warm-ups made me stronger!"

"She not only brought the performer out of me, but also taught me how to be comfortable in my own skin and how to deal with the realities of an uncensored and untruthful world beyond the comfortability that I was accustomed to. With her guidance and artistic productions, I, a repressed and traumatized teenager crossed the threshold to become a confident Asian American woman of color and recovering victim of sexual assault. Her artistic vision gave me the strength to speak about my experiences and fears, turning it into artistic expression and catharsis. Cassie aided my confidence, which allowed me to chase my dreams of being a dance professional as well as inspiring me to be brave about starting non-coffee table conversations in topics such as sexual trauma and racial inequity. She’s got a creative soul who has persistence in finding truth in and out of the dance space and if given the opportunity to work with her again, I wouldn’t think twice."

“I came into Cassie's class as a boy with very little confidence. I looked at the floor as I walked, and tried to hide myself at the back of every class. Cassie changed that for me. Not only did she give guidance and support through teaching dance, she also taught me how to drive my emotions into something creative, and to not be afraid to feel those emotions. The first year of taking Cassie's class we did a dance entitled "Desire." With the encouragement of Cassie and my fellow dancers, performing that dance was the first time in my life that I truly felt that I was attractive, and I have been able to carry that with me ever since. I can genuinely say that taking her classes has had one of the biggest impacts on who I am today. I may have walked in as a boy with little confidence, but I left her class as a man with my head held high.”
